Well this was my first 48hr marathon after the carp, on this lovely venue. Very hard water and between four of us, we only banked two fish, and lost plenty of others. We were using pellets, boilies and dog biscuits, and the fish were just not interested or very finicky.
Don’t know what the issue was, but the weather didn’t help and was very stormy the Saturday night. My mate lost a cracking fish, on the last day which succeeded in bending his hook. All I saw was the bow wave, as it was making for the depths.
Overall the fishing was very hard, but I had a cracking weekend away with great mates and plenty of beer!
