Saturday 6th February – River Lark

Just a quick morning session, with a good friend of mine from Suffolk.

Got to the river just after dawn. Wind, rain the lot!

After getting the shelters setup, the rods went out. Very quite for the first few hours, then my rod went off, this was on the good old sardine. After a nice little scrap, the pike came in. Very fat, young and clean fish. It was between the 7/8ib mark. This was the only action we had in the morning, but better than blanking. I packed up around lunchtime. My friend carried on few a few more hours. Hopefully he was more successful!

Great fun though.
