This is the highlight of my predator fishing year for me. Despite the wind and rain it was a great day out, as well as raising money for a great cause which means a lot to me.
It was fished on the Great Ouse between Queen Adelaide and Littleport.
There was roughly 50+ anglers who attended, and most of the fish were being caught on lures. The fishing started at 9am and finished about 3pm. I had a 8ib 4oz pike in the first hour of the fishing, and nothing else. Caught my fish on a dead roach. I am thinking if I remembered my lure rod, probably would of bagged a few more as the peg I was in was perfect.
During the day a few upper doubles were appearing all the way along, so the river was good to everyone that day. The winning fish was a 23ib 7oz beauty, which was also the biggest fish caught during the Marie Curie Predator Cup history of thirteen years. I have only seen one photo of it, but looking forward to see some more. Will keep you posted on here, if I get any.
I went to the local PAC meetiing on November 5th, and the total amount raised was given.
The final total came to £1900 which is a great achievement!
Looking forward to doing it all again next year.
