A friend from Norfolk made the long journey down, so I could try and get him his first fenland pike with the help of two other good friends.
Unfortunetly it wasn’t too be. The conditions were just not right. Very bright and the weather was just up and down. We only saw one fish all day, and that was caught on a live bait, by a bridge. Real shame as the drain was full of bait fish and only the day before, the pike were on a major feeding frenzy, and we were all feeling positive.
Oh well only a few weeks left of the river season, so may be able to squeeze another session in.
