Saturday March 14th – Block Fen A/Land Drain

Well the last day of the river season is upon us. I had originally planned a full day on the rivers, but a good friend contacted me and we both had a go after the carp at Block Fen A.

I had a cracking run, which I missed. The carp were moving around, but very finicky. Unfortunetly my mate blanked aswell!

Land Drain

I wanted to try and catch a pike on the last day, so moved to a land drain. I asked my mate to come but he had to leave early unfortunetly.

Started off at a lovely reed bed, and worked my way down the drain. Unfortunetly no runs were had, not even a sniff. The pike just didn’t seem to be in the mood. Oh well, not the best end to the season, but still was worth every minute!

Giving the fishing a break for a month or so, just until it starts to warm up.

Now thinking of smashing my pb carp this year on the still waters, then back on the rivers in the summer.

Tight lines every one!
