Well I had a choice of going after the pike on the twenty foot drain, or a trip to the River Cam again. Well after my success on the Cam on my last visit, I fancied a full day after the chub using the cheese paste again. I started off in the first meadow, and worked my way up towards Cambridge.
I had one reasonable chub, just over 1.5IB and plenty of small chub. I also hooked two very large chub, but lost them in the underwater snags. The first one cut the hook length and the second one powered right into the underwater snags and skillfully dropped the hook! Was gutting, but not the end of the world. Also tried worm baits, but the cheese produced most of the bites.

The biggest one of the day
Overall it was a great days fishing, and I will be back in the summer and probably hit it again in the coming winter aswell.
