Monday 13th July – River Lark

Well did not want to be beaten so went back on the River Lark for another go after the tench. It started off with just a few skimmers, a couple of roach and a small eel. Then just at last light, a tench rolled just a few yards from where I was. They were on the feed at long last.

A few minutes later, the tip whipped round, and the fight began. After a few minutes a lovely 5ib 2oz tench graced the net. If I had more time, I probably would of fished into the night as the conditions were perfect, but unfortunetly I had to work the following day. Will give it another go in a couple of weeks.
