Well I fancied a trip over the border, and had my first days pike fishing in Norfolk. I arrived at about half six, and set up. The river was pulling through as tidal, but my bait was holding bottom. Had two missed runs, but nothing out on the bank. The conditions were not perfect as I said, rained all day and the river was very coloured.
At about lunchtime, I packed up and headed towards another spot, again nothing. There was a guy fishing just down from me and he had a lovely net full of Bream and Roach. I now wish I brought my feeder rod, along with my pike rods. Apart from blanking, it was a lovely day in Norfolk. I am going to be making more visits during the new season.
